Specials on C was a prototype exploring the use of vacant space for community engagement. Once the 'Family Deli' bodega in Alphabet City, we remodeled, rebranded, and reopened the location to provide temporary space to community members looking to prototype their own entrepreneurial, artistic, or experimental endeavors.
Within one year of the prototype, we were able to host and facilitate over 34 events with an operating budget under $10,000.
